When I first got into real estate, I was certain there was a secret to being successful. I searched high and low. I attended conferences and training. I learned a couple things those first 3 years.
1️⃣ The first little revelation I had was that there are brokers out there that “do something” for their agents. I ended up switching brokerages, and that set the domino for my future.
2️⃣ The second revelation I had was that there is no secret to being successful. The people I was observing that were successful didn’t do anything special. Looking back, I do think there are things that make the cream rise, but I think the answer is based in working really hard and being really nice.
3️⃣ I ironically found a secret to generating leads, and I held it super close to my chest. I generated about half a million dollars directly from free leads from Yelp. This was my first “brush” with creating an online presence.
But what I wish someone would have taught me was setting up the foundations for building out my online presence from beginning to end.
