Hi friend. The topic of this blog post, podcast, and video is one of my favorites. I really meant every word I said on camera, and I am so excited to be able to share my insight with you. Hiring and training a VA was hands down the best decision I made for my business. It solved so many of my problems, and it set me up for the success that I have today.
I didn’t share the whole story from beginning to end, but finding success on YouTube back in 2020 was something I wasn’t expecting, and something I wasn’t prepared for. That moment you go from struggling to pay the credit card bill because you overextended yourself partly due to the fact that you have six kids, to not having to worry about money because you are making more than you could have imagined is weird. And wrapped up in the mix our oldest son passed away in a car accident. So long story short, I was struggling.
I was mostly struggling because I was overwhelmed.
I even had a whole entire solid month of the worst migraine I had ever had. That was my rock bottom. I remember sitting out by the pool watching the kids swim one evening, and thinking about the solution while my head and brain throbbed.
So long story short, I made a lot of mistakes. The first solution I established was “hiring a personal assistant”. But it wasn’t the right solution. It is important to note that I have never been a boss before and to be honest, I wasn’t good at it. I had a lot of learning and growing to do.
But I started to truly figure it out, once I realized that what I was building was someone else’s dream, and what I “had” wasn’t what I truly wanted.
So the best decision I made that put me on my current path was hiring a VA (virtual assistant). I really needed to exhaust all the other paths to get to this one.
In today’s new video, How hiring a VA changed my life as a REALTOR®., I am sharing with you my insight on my experience with hiring a VA, and I am even sharing with you what they actually do for me. I am chatty in this video, but it is still a good one. I do plan to revisit the topic one day because I want to be more articulate on how they can really move the needle for anyone with a content-first business.
