I created The Content Newsletter for Real Estate Agents.

After watching Lincoln cross the street for the first time by himself in our neighborhood, I spent the last three hours sitting on my porch, waiting for him to approach the intersection so I could accompany him so he could cross safely in the dark.

After dinner, I wanted to sit in the front yard and read a book. I told Lincoln he could ride his scooter in the cul de sac and on our street while I read. He excitedly followed me, rode a bit, started raking leaves, and even went inside to get a trash bag to place them in. During this time, he had noticed some children playing down the street on the other side of the intersection and ran inside to get his camping binoculars. He rode his scooter to the intersection, stopped next to the stop sign, and curiously looked through his binoculars to see if it was his friend Hadley. It was.

I told him if he got me my scooter, I would ride to the intersection and, once there, permit him to cross. Lincoln is 8, and while I am not a helicopter parent, after losing one child in a car accident, my blades are often rotating. So we rode to the stop sign, and he crossed. I went home and did hear Hadley say, ā€œHi, Lincoln,ā€ followed by Lincoln heading back my way.

He was too shy to ask her to play. Sheā€™s pretty, you see.

I questioned why he didnā€™t ask her to play, and while he didnā€™t say much, I knew why. Eventually, he questioned if he should go back and talk to her. I encouraged him to, and then he asked if he could cross. I reluctantly said yes. He safely made it across and played with her for almost 3 hours.

That little boy spent the evening in heaven.

During my three-hour stint on the curb and porch, I started reading a new book, ā€œYou, Inc.ā€ I am 61 pages in, and I know it will be one of my new favorite books. If I were to write a book at 50, this would be that book. It is amazing.

Long story short, this book prompted me to create a new reel, which led me to create a weekly newsletter, The Content Newsletter for Real Estate Agents.

I am really excited. Lol.

Ironically, Instagram hates me, and I get an error each time I try to publish my new reel, so that isnā€™t up yet, but the newsletter is. You can find it here.

I am so excited to create something specific, and in the first edition, I give you more backstory on the why. I hope you subscribe.

With love, Jo.
